Casual Outfit of the Day

Shirt: LNA
Boots: Corvari
Bag: Capoverso
Necklace: BaubleBar

This is a really casual outfit.  No other way to describe it; probably only suitable for the grocery store, your kid's soccer game, or the bank, sometimes you just have to have that super easy outfit to fall back on.  These Current/Elliott jeans are called tie-dye.  I have a very similar pair that is called wax finish, I think.  These are my absolute favorite jeans and have been for some time.  I know, I know, they are skinny jeans, but there is something magic in their fabric.  Trust me, they are going to shape and flatter. I've been seeing a two-tone chambray shirt everywhere in magazines and on-line, but the plain, old chambray is still my favorite.  I love it thrown over these jeans and left loose, but you could just as easily wear it tucked into a pencil skirt to the office.  Wear the necklace under the collar of the button-up shirt to take this outfit out of the slob arena and into the polished.  This bag is real leather for an amazing price.  Perfect for hauling around snacks and juice boxes.

Date Night Outfit of the Day

Necklace: BaubleBar
Dress: Tart

We are at that point in the year where evenings out can get a little blah.  After the holidays, as the weather starts to heat up, there doesn't seem to be a lot of reason to dress up when you go out.  My nights out with my husband are very special because they don't happen that often, so I always want to take a little extra care and look like it truly is a celebration.  This Tart dress is convertible; the straps can be modified to cover more or less making it truly perfect for several body types and ages.  I've had a pair of these KORS Michael Kors shoes in suede for some time now, and they are truly comfortable, so if your night extends to dancing, this is a perfect pair to see you through it.  The Elizabeth and James ring reminds me of something my grandmother would have had from the 40's, and the BaubleBar necklace is feminine but still chunky to add some sparkle against the black. The lilac Z Spoke bag is a bright shot of color to add some emphasis.

Office Outfit of the Day

Blazer: J Crew
Blouse: Miu miu
Bag: Botkier
Shoes: Semilla

Although I go on and on about loving black and white, I do have to admit to loving looks that consist of pairing two colors which you wouldn't think go well together.  I've long been an advocate of black and blue and black and brown.  Last summer I bought a casual dress with pink and orange stripes which has inspired me to look for even more chances to pair the two, but wouldn't this outfit look equally great paired with jeans for a night out?

Office Outfit of the Day

Blouse: See by Chloe
Belt: Rag & Bone

Since I live in such a warm climate, dressing for summer comes early.  Summer is the season I personally struggle with the most because I like to wear and feel more comfortable always wearing layers.  This summer I hope to wear my layers but in lighter colors really embracing white and pastels.  These shoes would be amazing with work outfits, weekend wear and jeans.  I can also see pairing the blazer with a black shift dress for an evening meeting or cocktails.

Date Night Outfit of the Day

Sandals: Armani Jeans
Ring: Gorjana

I'm planning ahead for spring and hope to get out for more concerts in the park and our local botanical garden this year.  I'll keep this outfit in mind for those date nights.  The skirt has a great length that's not too short, and the heel of the sandals adds height without being too spiky for walking on grass.

Date Night Outfit of the Day

Sweater: D&G
Jeans: James Jeans
Earrings: BaubleBar
Bracelet: Balmain
Bracelet: Fallon
Clutch: Kotur
Pumps: Sergio Rossi

It's wonderful now that the rest of the world is embracing my love of black and white and calling it a trend.  The irony of fashion.  You just have to love it some times.  And although I'm fine with wearing just black and white, for this date night outfit, the hits of hot pink strike the note that makes this stand apart from casual jeans and a sweater.

Casual Outfit of the Day

Sunglasses: Valentino
Blouse: Ports 1961
Pants: J Brand
Jacket: Mabrun
Watch: Michael Kors

This is one of those outfits that is so good for so many different things.  Keep it super casual with a pair of ballet flats for running errands or shopping.  Edge it up with heeled booties for brunch on the weekend.  Pair it with heels for a dinner out or the movies.
