I can't say enough good things about hats, and they are so unappreciated.  So many people feel awkward wearing hats.  I hear "I don't look good in them," from so many people.  Please give hats a chance!  This is a really basic outfit with some good texture and contrast, but it's the hat which really gives it character.  A beret is a really easy introduction into wearing hats: they look good on everyone regardless of the shape of your face or your age or your hairstyle.
