Rectangles need to draw the eye up or down to add the illusion of curves.  I personally always recommend adding volume to the top instead of the bottom.  The blouson top of the dress and the ruffle on the jacket are distinctly feminine.  The studded shoes and dramatic jewelry add edge to keep it from being too sweet.
