Bring Your Verb Leave-In Mist
I don't know why, but I'm fixated on brunch lately. Maybe it's because I just found my ultimate brunch spot, and I can't wait to go back. With that in mind, I keep thinking about brunch outfits, too. What's better than a flowy midi dress and chunky heels with feminine jewelry to sit outside and drink mimosas?

I know, I know, I've posted two beige turtlenecks in a row, but how great is a beige turtleneck? This Gucci skirt is a little more high-end then I usually like to post in outfits here, but there is just something about that calls to me. I will probably be on the hunt myself for a less expensive option. The chunkiness of the bootie pairs well with the knits especially since it has a little bit of a longer length then what you normally see on a bootie. This will make the ankle seem slimmer and, for most people, will be a better option when paired with a skirt. I've named this a casual outfit, but the earrings add a bit of drama and make this a great transitional day to evening out for drinks kind of outfit.

This look was grabbed out of the September issue of InSTYLE. The outfit in the magazine comes in at $1775. Using the cashmere turtleneck from J Crew, my outfit totals $520.15, but for once the original sweater is less, so if you keep the original sweater, you could get the price of the outfit down to $445.15. That's a whopping 75% reduction in the price, and that's only if you need to buy every piece new. Using pieces from your closet, how much would it cost you to recreate this look? I'd love to hear, so leave a comment if you are going to try to recreate the look.

It's hard to believe we've been back from France for almost a week now, but with jet lag and Thanksgiving, it's been just as crazy as the week before we left. And now we are hitting the high season of parties and get togethers. I know that I won't have any chance of whittling away the extra few pounds I put on indulging in cheese and croissants every day, so I'm looking for stylish dresses to take me out for cocktails and eye-catching accessories to draw the eye away from my mid-section. I've heard amazing things about the new Formula X polishes at Sephora, and I'm hoping that I can at least fit in polishing my nails in the next day or two. Wow, I really do need a vacation to recover from my vacation.
